Mikä laite on ollut sellainen, että sen ostaminen ei todellakaan kaduttanut, vaan jopa suosittelet kaikille? Jokin mikä yllätti positiivisesti, on kestänyt odotettuakin pidempään tai muuta?

Something I appreciate about #bifl or #buyforlife mentality, is that "shopping" has a certain background anxiety in it which became obvious only after becoming a much calmer person.
There is anxiety motivating one to buy products, anxiety motivating one to not buy in case of regret, anxiety about finding the perfect product, sustainability anxiety etc.
Being less dependent on stuff and buying stuff that lasts means the less I have to go through the grind of shopping again.
What's the mouse equivalent of a mechanical keyboard? Keep wearing out the button switches in the Logitechs I've been buying (latest: MX Anywhere 3).
After spending a week trying to find a durable water bottle as free of plastic as possible, I am happy to say that Soulbottles is the very best you can find in Europe, completely plastic free (including the cap).
According to their site, they donate 1 euro after each purchase for clean water, their packaging is plastic free and the padding is recycled material. Their product parts are produced in China, they pay attention to proper working hours and adequate breaks, their products are shipped via train to Germany where they are assembled, no airplanes.
Best of all, they also make glass bottles with a ceramic cap if durability is not as important. A small business absolutely worth checking out! #waterbottle #plasticFree #BuyForLife #affordable
#buyforlife mal in Echt.
I'm not a watch collector or anything, but I love stuff that's durable, easy to repair, and just in general high quality.
And thus I just wanted to show off my watch: A Casio G-Shock GW-9100.
It was released about 16 years ago and I basically have it since then.
I had to replace the watchband once as it's just artificial resin or something.
But thanks to solar it's running on its 1st battery and as indestructible as most G-Shocks.
Maybe it'll live longer than I will. 😁
I've got an inexpensive Lamy Safari that's one of my favorite possessions. I love being able to choose the ink that goes in it and try various colors, etc.
I think it's the #buyForLife mindset that it represents that has real Earth healing potential. It gives a gentle and satisfying reminder every time I uncap it.
Fashion, tech, and auto industries have embraced #extractivecapitalism in pursuit of #infinitegrowth; consumers can challenge that by breaking our addiction to iterations of shiny new everything at lowest sticker price - we are only offsetting true cost to the planet and humanity, because the planet or someone has to bear it. It is non-negotiable.
From perspective of a fmr R&D Eng and current Prod Mgr (HW and SW) I believe transparency of #lifecyclecost based upon typical use may help consumers #buyforlife.
