There are very basic problems with how Wikipedia functions.
Academics, like everyone else, have no obligation to expose themselves to the pathological work environment that Wikipedia has created for its Editors.

Below is a paper by an academic who has been subjected to infamous treatment via the WP article about him.

I fear that anyone participating in the WP project risks being bullied.
