Hi, everyone. I'm looking to get an ereader. I used to have a Kindle Paperwhite before my airplane seat pocket ate it and won't give it back.. So now to replace and move away from Amazon, I'm looking at Kobo.

Pros, cons, any information the people of the Fediverse would like to share about their experiences would be amazing. Kobo or other. (Boox?)

I understand there's Calibre I can use to have personal copies of bought books. What about books I bought on Amazon? Can I transfer those to Kobo?
