For #FossilFriday I present this Pleistocene raccoon skull (Procyon lotor) recovered from a gravel bed in Florida's Peace River near the town of Zolfo Springs.

I found this one in shallow water laying on the bottom after seasonal floods dislodged it from nearby sandy deposits on the riverbanks.

It had partial dentition and now resides in a private Canadian museum collection.
