Following the short film Joff and I made this summer as a "Voices" project for the new National Care Service - I was asked to blog about unpaid caring also.
So I submitted the prose piece I did, inspired by @therealdoctort
I'm glad/surprised they published it, cos it is a reality of how fucking tough unpaid caring is, and the national conversation we urgently need to have about the future of social care.

@GeorgeJulian I think it's largely a free-for-all with freedom to swap if you wish. I guessed a lot of my Scottish twitter pals would choose it and I've been pleased to see a core of auld pals as well as meeting new peeps.

It's about the formation of the new National Care Service in Scotland.

A small victory today.

Joff signed "want" "sailor" "again" to indicate he wanted to play a clapping game, which is a firm favourite at the minute.
It's the closest we'll get to a sentence, I guess.
He really likes the chopping action, he does it on my palm and I do it on his. Fun!
