Bogotropism : when objects or people tend towards bogusness, usually due to their intrinsic bogosity. See: Bogon
When a thing absorbs Bogons, it begins to appear bogus to normal humans. However, to humans that have already been contaminated with Bogons and/or Bozons, it creates an overwhelming attractive force. This leads to greater and greater emission of both Bogons and Bozons - leading to a Bozonova, wherein all intelligence in the area is annihilated.
There is no known shielding for Bogons. However, Bozons can be easily deflected with common sense.
Bogonometry : the measurement of Bogosity - unit: Bogon.
The more bogus something is, the more Bogons it emits. Bogons have numerous and varying effects on matter, energy and politics.
