Home from an info session for the Great Cocky Count. I still can't tell a Baudin's from a Carnaby's black cockatoo, but I can tell the red-tailed and white-tailed ones apart by sound now.

Highlights from tonight’s BirdLife outing to Hawkesview farm include 2 Dollar birds, a multitude of young Great Cormorants and Darters with nests. We counted 24 species in 20mins. We also made friends with a lonely calf who fancied the trousers of one patient birder.
