I’ve had these little charms my mom made lying around the shop for a while, unsure what to do with them. When looking between those and a whole lot of mismatched beads, I struck off on a charm-making adventure!

Our very first 2026 Monster of The Month is… Mishipeshu!!
Also known as the to Underwater Panther & translating to ‘Great Lynx’ his beast hails from Lake Superior. It is attributed to a plethora of Indigenous American folklore. The creature’s story varies from culture to culture, but overall its temperament matches that of the water it resides in; moody, unpredictable, and full of surprises.
Mishipeshu will be featured until January 31st!

Spooky Spotlight Time! This week… House Centipede + Extra Legs!
Many weeks ago I found a nearly wholly in-tact house centipede attached to the carpet of the studio.
As he dried out, he slowly lost more and more legs, but the thought occurred to me: I could still keep them together! So I pinned what was left of the ‘pede and gathered his lost legs into a jar. Now you can get them as a set!
