Once upon a time, like in 2004, I was deployed to northern Iraq. I was in an Army National Guard public affairs detachment based in Madison, Wisconsin. For the deployment, we were linked up with our headquarters element based in Springfield, Illinois. 20 of us on that deployment, a mix of Bears and Packers fans. This particular “shoutout” was produced by one of our broadcasters and shown at the Packers/Bears game at Lambeau Field that September.
