Strongest wind gust my instruments have ever recorded today in San Mateo: 55 MPH. We'd never broken 50 MPH before, and we blew right past it today (pun intended).

Took a short drive for an appointment, here are some observations:

- 3 sets of fire trucks racing towards some crashes (all different, seemingly)

- 2 SUVs crushed by falling trees on a 4 lane highway

- - emergency crews cutting trees and clearing the road

- Hospital power went out and all systems affected

WEATHER!

Please don't be that person that doesn't feel like getting groceries or pizza in this weather so they order delivery.

If you can wait, please do. If you must, tip like you are giving hazard pay. Our roads around the Bay Area aren't made for the rain we are getting on top of the gale and flood warnings.
