DW attended _As We Speak_ at Virginia Arts Festival on Wednesday. Bela, Edgar, ZAKIR, and Rakesh played a dynamic and powerful set, almost 2.5 hours of #IndianMusic. Bela played the sitar parts on selected #banjos 🪕, Fakir on #tabla hand drums, and Rakesh on #BambooFlute. This latter is a wood realization of a orchestral flute. The wood gives the instrument a mellow voice but in the hands of a master, it is capable of a broad range of intonation.

This #liveshow drew strong applause after each solo. The band brought its own audio engineer to mix both Front of House and monitor mixes for the performers. Easily the best live concert sound I’ve heard.
