In April I participated in the #BBC’s research. In total 872,701 responses were sent to #AuntieBeeb.

The finding I find most heartening is that there is no majority for trust in the Corporation’s independence. In fact there is a deficit of some 48 points. I am so relieved that I am not the only one who is disheartened by the BBC’s current political stance. Perhaps there maybe be hope for a better BBC…

Every time I click on a news link in a toot and hit a paywall I value the BBC even more.

I get that good news costs and the value of proper journalism; I know I'm paying for BBC News through my license fee but, as a Brit, I'm really unlikely to subscribe to US news sites just to read the occasional article.
