Use of a pseudonym on the 'net goes back decades. Mine, here, is what it is, because it's what I've used since somewhere around 1988 on IRC and other forums...
Why do I use a pseudonym when I could use my real name? Interesting question, the answer to which has many layers. I have my reasons, other than habit, and I'll keep most of them to myself, but, the fear of being Doxxed or mis-associated with others who have the same name are among them. Of course, I'm also #AspiePowered, so, really, I am here who I am IRL, and just as likely to be annoying in either place... and in the same ways.
