Maybe it is because I'm an Apollo era person and remember the excitement of those first moon landings, but I have more or less zero interest in Artemis now.

It feels like the media is getting excited that someone is going to run a 4 minute mile in 2026.

The whole mission with #nasa #artimis is really cool. Tho they really need to step up their social media game. I remember hearing about it on NPR some time back, but then it just kinda fell my radar.

I will never not be excited about anything that has to do with space travel or exploration.

Put aside all the discussions of should we be doing this, are there better goals to aim for, etc, can we just stop for a moment and acknowledge that four people are on their way to our moon in a spaceship?

All the collaboration and shared effort that went into making it possible, just that should be enough to make us pause and think what else could we achieve?

Some people want to watch the world burn, and the rest of us was to light the touch papers under a million constructive, helpful, meaningful projects.
