Amidst current attacks on all things public, this show celebrates the sanctity of those spaces we share freely. Laura Glazer’s 'Repeat Admirer' project shows the public library as a place that stimulates our senses and provides access to beauty while inspiring curiosity, informing the populace, and sharing knowledge. In Harold McNaron’s 'Sidewalking' series, bits of urban life captured during ritual walks are distilled for memorial and spiritual practice. Harold and Laura send shouts out to the Situationists, Aboriginal ritual walkers and artist Ariana Jacob for being points of reference and departure.
