Mindful Poetry
relies on structure to bring
clarified finesse
real time temper tantrum
my enemies
clickity click click
every sea leaps into the sky
here and there touching,
but what's the rush
oh, the roilings —
a passion that drives
and all of life succumbs
life is but a dream
and death an awakening —
Such odd fetishes
observe immersion
perched from a distance high,
above our thin clouds
and what do we have
to work with, hesitantly
so few answered
reflections too close
to home, it's all walls built up —
they're just protections
repetition, it makes the world
go ‘round steadily, transforming
normally in all the same ways
but our perceptions —
the ego a perverse organ,
survival a stroke away
forgetfulness, it rains
quite mindfully,
but sight is lost
sometimes it snows
but this light amid us
however shines through day and night —
it has me all aglow
all these signs along this path
which we share together —
yet i feel so lost
a plain of reeds —
flying bluebirds
surround few lonely trees
these trembling wheels
under our skin
in rhythm with the clouds
