Earlier today we went out to run errands but also…

tuhn tun tun tunnn!!!
#NBD! New Bike Day for my stepson.
So we took his car because his has a hitch on it. We went to lunch at a fave TexMex place. I rode in his car for the first time and went to REI and another place that sells bikes. Lots of fun. The three of haven’t been out like that together in a long while.

But more importantly my wife paid me a nice compliment. It was surprising and so nice especially because you know… sometimes a couple gets bogged down in a routine.

It came as we were heading out the door and after I took a kind of a long shower… you know to shave my legs because still shorts weather. Then because we were gonna be out among the masses for a while, I took a couple of hours to put on makeup, lashes, run a brush through my hair, put on nails, rings, jewelry. But I forgot some things… twice. So ran back into the house to get those and then a third to change shoes.

So yeah, after that…

She says through gritted teeth,
“you are so HIGH MAINTENANCE!”

I feel seen. 🤣
