The almond pie I baked earlier* had cooled off enough to cut and then freeze the slices individually.
They are all for giving away, since I don't really like sweets. These recipes are just too much fun to resist and there are always enough other people who do love sweet pastries.

Attached: 4 images Yesterday I made sweet pastry dough. Today I made almond cream, rolled out the dough, filled a loose-bottomed tin with it and let that rest for 30 minutes in the fridge. (The almond cream had to rest in the fridge for 15 minutes.) Then I filled the tin with the almond paste, and topped it with apple slices (from the freezer; apples from my garden) and fruit from my big jar of rum & fruit. 30 minutes in the oven and that was it. #HomeBakedPie #RumSoakedFruit #AlmondCream #CatsOfMastodon
