Wendy PalmerMy dog took herself off on a jaunt just before I had to take her to the vet, ironically for her cartrophen injection so she feels a bit more spry…given she’s sneaking off to play with the puppy next door, I’d say she’s pretty spry for an old girl.
So I basically had to start driving off the property towards town in the hope that a dog would miraculously appear when she heard her owner’s car drive past — and yes, she did, as she always does.
So here’s to all the dogs who are a bit naughty but basically well-intentioned.
The dogs who rip the couch apart when you leave because they love you too much.
The dogs who throw up in the car every single time.
The dogs who have to be walked late at night because daytime stimulation is too much for them.
The dogs who freak out at the thunderstorms or fireworks so no one in the house gets to sleep.
The dogs who raid the bin and the dogs who roll in stuff.
The dogs who hate water but swim out to rescue you when you go swimming, half-drowning you in the process.
I’ve had dogs that were variations on all these, often the same dog 😂
