Paul Turnbull 🇨🇦Took the time to read the Jasper Wildfire Complex Municipal After-Action Review and my impression of the section addressing jurisdiction and authorities is that it is very even handed. It basically says the jurisdictional overlap created challenges that need clarifying. Yes, requests from the Alberta government were an issue but that was because of a lack of formal agreements to handle this kind of situation.
Overall it's an interesting read and not too long as these kinds of reports go. I also appreciated the detailed timeline in Appendix C.
