Ich brauche nochmal #Fedipower #Fedihelp

ich bin mit meinen #Joomla #Webseiten inzwischen erfolgreich zu #Netcup umgezogen. Beim alten #Hoster hatte ich das #Backupverzeichnis für die #Akeeba #Backups eine Verzeichnisebene höher als das Joomla-Dokumentenroot angegeben. Das geht bei Netcup (bslang) nicht. Ich komme, egal ob ich den absoluten Pfad manuell eingebe, oder den Directory Browser hinter dem Eingabfeld nutze, nicht in eine höhere Verzeichnisebene als das root-Verzeichnis von Joomla.

Wenn ich im Directory Browser "Up one level" klicke, kommt

The specified directory doesn't exist!". Wenn ich den Pfad manuell eintrage und ein Backup starte The automatic backup can not be started because your output directory is not writable.Die Backups innerhalb der Joomla Installation anzulegen, ist ja aber aus mehreren Gründen käse:

1. sind die Backups bei einer Kompromittierung von Joomla ebenfalls betroffen

2. wächst die Backupgröße exponentiell, da ja mit dem Dateibackup immer auch die vorhandenen Backups ins Backup gepackt werden

(Wie) kann ich erreichen, dass ich wieder ein Backupverzeichnis oberhalb des Dokumentenroot von Joomla angeben kann?

Regarding my post about the #Joomla tmp directory https://social.cologne/@agentur511/113910853193289472 :
I´m using the tools for cleaning the tmp directory from #Akeeba #Admintools now.
You can find them in the backend of Admin Tools in the "Tools" section.
There is one button for manual cleaning and below there is a button for the scheduler.
This should keep the tmp directory clean in the future.

1/2 @[email protected] #Joomla has a temporary directory where third party extensions are stored for installation purposes. These files should be deleted right after the installation process. However, sometimes the deletion does not work for reasons. I found a lot of files in the tmp directories in many sites. I never cared about this until today. But afaik they can be a security issue. So my question to the bubble is: how do you manage the tmp files? Delete manually? Use a Plugin (recommendations?)?

Migration enfin terminée de mon site Internet (qui a 10 ans... comme le temps passe...) de #Joomla 3 vers la version 4.
Merci #Akeeba de m'avoir sauvé la mise plusieurs fois !
Conclusion : j'éviterai désormais au maximum le recours à des extensions et templates extérieurs (principe KISS même s'il existe des #cms plus simples). Ça limitera le casse-tête des mises à jour ou prochaines migrations.

tried updating my website from #Joomla version 3 to 4 today. Didn't work out, due to a few extensions not playing well under version 4.
Managed to restore the previous version from #Akeeba backup. Took some effort and handywork and fixing, but everything as it was before now (phew!)
Guess I better fly in a professional :)
