To check if you have sent any strange friends requests, check your #ActivityLog.

From a computer:

-- Click your picture in top right
-- Settings & #Privacy > Activity Log
-- Connections menu on the left
-- Sent friend requests option

For Android:

-- Click your picture top-right
-- Settings & Privacy
-- Settings
-- Scroll down until you see "Your activity" and click "Activity log"
-- Find "Connections"
-- Click "Sent friends requests"
