It was interesting - but the frequency of cuts to the past time, then to current time were getting to be both monotonous and confusing (e.g. wait what time period are we in now).

The ending was interesting - UNTIL it was not.

Set up for Season 2 - with one of those "door creaks", the head turn of the main character, and then fade to black
