Encouraging that California's (sort of) attempt at sectoral bargaining for fast food workers (probably) won't be subject to a referendum next year. The "Stop California's Food Tax" campaign was amazingly dishonest but probably effective. Which workers should get this power next? Ooh, how about teachers including private/charter schools?

businesses against California's #AB257 , which aims to boost fast food workers power, say they've submitted 1+ million voter signatures to halt the law. so it's not looking good for AB257, but state has to count & validate signatures, which could take weeks.
