With 8th Wall winding down, a lot of people are asking where their WebAR projects should go next. The good news? Zappar has some great options! Mattercraft is production-ready with a full 3D editor, real-time physics, and built-in VPS. 👩🏼‍💻 Prefer to code? Zappar’s Universal AR SDKs let you keep using your preferred engine/framework such as Unity, Three.js, PlayCanvas, but with Zappar’s tracking powering everything behind the scenes. Migrating from 8th Wall is far simpler than most expect. Bring over your assets and logic, then rebuild your scene using available templates and docs. I’ve broken down the whole process in the full tutorial over on Zappar's YouTube (linked below) and if you need help mapping out a migration, the team are always happy to support so just reach out!

Reading about the 8th Wall engine, which they're providing before they shut down, with a limited license.
Their faq is pretty helpful: https://www.8thwall.com/docs/migration/faq/

"In short: if you’re selling the experience, not the engine, your use is permitted."

That's very helpful for me, because we have some recurring AR experiences that currently use 8th Wall, so all we have to do going forward is self host.
