Elsa Karlström’s outfit from 1709 is so high on my wishlist that I have the fabrics needed in my stash. She’s my 8th great-grandmother, and was born in 1668, the daughter of a wealthy ironmaster, who was eventually enobled. Painted by Johann Heinrich Wedekind.
