The last three and a half years have been crazy. But I'm excited to announce I've joined the @BaltimoreBanner

Many thanks to all of my past colleagues who have vouched for me and spoken on my behalf.

And I'm still doing my podcast work. So I have two jobs now!

The latest episode of Black Journalists on Journalism is out with Pulitzer Prize-winner Corey Johnson of ProPublica:

"Most people have never encountered a journalist ... One of our greatest powers, if we choose to use it, it's showing and listening to people's story without judgment, just listening. And people, when they feel heard, it does something to them. It does something for them."

I’m not saying embrace debate, but there’s an opening for platforms that want to cater to breaking news and politics. To ignore the audience that wants that from its Twitter replacement seems silly and not well thought out.
