You still use email, right? That's how users in the #Fediverse are addressed with an extra @ at the front. But if you are capable of #email addressing, you can do user addressing on #Mastodon #Pixelfed #PeerTube #Misskey #Pleroma #Funkwhale #BookWyrm #Owncast #Castopod #Microblog #WriteFreely #Plume #Lemmy #kbin #mobilizon etc.
It's always @user@server - the simple magic of #ActivityPub.

The great thing about the #Fediverse is that you can interact with other networks from whatever network you reside on. You don't need an account on another networks, but you can, if you want. #Pixelfed (@pixelfed & @[email protected]) is great if you are more of an Insta person, so no text posts, only photos and videos.
You like manga/anime? #Misskey is your place to be. Your friends on #Mastodon will find you. Or your friends on #Pixelfed.

And vice versa. You are not locked in to one network.

Getting an ad done on the various #Meta platforms is a pain in the ass. Some functions are only available on web, some are only in different apps, on different mobile platforms, and then there is the Meta Business Suite, and separately the Meta Account Center, and they don't know anything about each other, #Facebook (New Page Experience and Classic Page separately, for extra fun) and #Instagram are out of touch with each other.
But the avatars in the #Zuckerberg #Metaverse nightmare got legs. 🎉

So, #OpenKeychain is unmaintained, and the code a mess, according to former devs. Otoh #CipherMail is actively developed. I'm not saying effective #OpenPGP on #Android is dead, but it's not in an ideal state, when cool projects like @keyoxide make #PGP more exciting. However, maybe time for #selfsigned #SMIME?

Hey @1password do you think you could make the browser extension compatible with #KiwiBrowser? There are a handful of password managers that work nice with it.
One crucial element is the lack of any kind of built-in #2FA support in the browser: #U2F, #FIDO, #WebAuthn, #PassKey. Maybe the extension could overcome this, to some degree? It almost does, but then it fails.

Hey @Vivaldi noticed that vivaldi.net is one of the all-greens on Hardenize.
I'd move my mails to vivaldi.net, but I have size worries, still use other providers, & own domain.
Do you have any plans to implement paid size plan, & features like automatic IMAP fetch, external sending SMTP, own domain management?
