We're seeing a lot of initiatives across Europe and the EU to replace Microsoft services with #Linux and #OpenSource solutions.
This could be massive for Linux and the entire community, so I'm sharing my thoughts on why this is happening, why it's great, but also why it could still very much die down very quickly:
Privacy, #Security, and #Anonymity are important concepts to understand, and the importance of #Privacy is unquestionable: "So much of our modern society is structured around information. When you shop online, read the news, look something up, vote, seek directions, or really anything else, you are relying on information. If we live in an information society, our information matters, and therefore privacy matters."

We must "establish a constellation of alternatives" to corporate social media and other billion dollar tech firms. #FOSS is the way to do that; from pretty much the birth of digital computing, it has always been the way forward.
@thenewoil generally its far too long... Carissa Veliz's 'Privacy is Power' is the ultimate antidote to it: a short, simple - and very compelling - argument for privacy.
