When I was a teen I couldn’t think about philosophy at all.
I learned about Zeno’s paradoxes when I was 16 but all I could do was read what was written.
(-1) × 1 = -1
so,
(-1) × (-1) = 1
I thought “that makes sense” when I was 13. I had zero talent for math.
I never thought about square numbers etc. when I was a child. Isn’t that amazing?

I couldn’t do math until I was 16.

When I was 16, I learned
(x+y)²=x²+2xy+y²
(x+y)(x-y)=x²-y²
(x-α)(x-β)=x²-(α+β)x+αβ
I couldn’t find this “math language” in an English dictionary. Before I acquired it, prime numbers etc. seemed somehow different.
