“Nice people made the best Nazis. My mom grew up next to them. They got along, refused to make waves, looked the other way when things got ugly and focused on happier things than “politics.” They were lovely people who turned their heads as their neighbors were dragged away. You know who weren’t nice people? Resisters.”

Apple Maps is showing Lebanon as a depopulated place. All village names erased.
Compare Lebanon, Syria and Israel.
Guess nobody lives there, they will need to send Israeli settlers to make the mountains and coastal resort towns flourish.
i was quite surprised to discover that no one had registered deleteduser [dot] com, and was curious to see how many emails i'd get if i registered it, assuming many orgs 'delete' logic probably just overwrote the email address with [email protected] or similar.
The answer, is at least 3 different orgs in the hour that I've owned that domain and been listening for email.
And yes, all of those emails contain the actual PII of the person who has been 'deleted' :-D
The Netherlands dumps Trump!
🇳🇱🙌🏻🇳🇱
The same week where Canada dumps Trump and chooses Sweden to deliver it's AWACS planes, the Netherlands blocks American acquisition of their key IT provider Solvinity, citing the need to protect public interest.
Had the deal gone through, a company from Trump's America would have controlled the main online authentication app used by the Dutch to file taxes, etc.

@rawenwolf @KatyElphinstone autism misses or misinterprets the norms and needs extra. Might be research, clarification, etc to understand them. I feel like conversations about how someone deals with norms is all you need for that part of the diagnosis.
Side-note: a big part of sociology is formally looking at norms. Not a big stretch for autistics who already have to exert effort into understanding them.
after getting Many replies and having seen Many other peoples' posts, I'm going to gently remind everyone that:
1) if you want to post a Take on a long post and/or form a strong opinion about it that informs your actions going forward, remember to actually read the entire post and not just someone else's two-sentence Take in a vacuum
2) if you don't want to read the post, valid, Marcus Aurelius releases you from the obligation to have a Take. In fact, please don't have a Take
