I have resumed my attempt to port my huge RYM history (7,000+ ratings, just as many wishlisted albums) to NeoDB. When I saw that I can't log into RYM anymore if I don't unblock Cloudflare or googletagmanager... enough is enough!

Alhamdulillah, I'm still here... still queer! And still don't like Bluesky!
As some of you remember, I don't live in the US, but I have many friends there.
The events taking place there this year have forced me to work on my exit from US tech and social media in my free time, which has diminished to a great degree ever since I lost my rent...
InshaAllah, might get next year back on track with things.

So RYM do have a backup plan in case US internet is upended... A big Alhamdulillah for that.

I'm just getting started with my first NeoDB account - for now, waiting on the main instance until some fellow RYMer decides to host a NeoDB instance specifically for the community of refugees from RYM, which, being a US-based site, risks being sued to death and banned under new US law which has just been proposed.

A pretty good naat (South Asian Islamic #music) record from Laiba Fatima. The tracks are reverbed or not too many layered a capellas or percussive versions (the slightly modern "Ali Mola Ali Dam Dam" is my favorite one), with the exception of "Babe Rahmat" which feature piano and acoustic guitar providing harmony alongside the traditional percussion.
