Interests: Puredata vanilla, Neovim, Manjaro/Arch Linux, Hardware modular synths and old analog semi-modulars. All sorts of electronic music including techno, acid techno, psytrance, ambient, psychill etc. Rust, Typescript/JS, Lua. Maybe I will read one interesting book about DSP and write good reverberator one day.

All generalizations are wrong. Including this one.

All representatives of "chosen", "special", "better" nations — go fuck yourself.

Nothing I write is important. Mostly reposts.

So for all them photography people out there - I'm looking a bit at beginner friendly, not too expensive, camera and found a pack with
"Canon EOS R10"

I did some searching (which is difficult these days due to slop reviews etc) but it was seemingly also mentioned as budget friendly, beginner friendly.
So before I push too many buy buttons - I'd just ask into fedi if people had experiences with this model?

I know for a beginner I could use pretty much anything (even phone camera) but I want a dedicated unit and something that's maybe not 'terrible' out of the box, but also don't want to spend way too much so (just in case I don't really get to do much photo'ing)....... suggestions and feedback would be nice if anybody has it? :)

Well there you have it - the oceans are currently hotter than they have ever been for this time of year.

The submission says two important drivers of antisemitism are the “growth of far-right, neo-Nazi and conspiracist movements, which represent a significant and often overlooked threat to Jewish communities, and the aggressive actions of the state of Israel and conflation of Jewish identity with Israel”.

That is “a conflation that the state of Israel itself has long cultivated and which causes direct harm to Jewish people worldwide when they are blamed for Israel’s actions”, the submission says.

https://linuxdaw.org/ feels like it is bursting with new releases. 😜

Have a look! The Tokyo Dawn Records #plugin (s) are out of beta, Deep Waters 2 by ZAK Sound seems very interesting, just to name a few of the additions.

Just saw something weird, got a notification that someone forked a repo of mine, I checked it out and it it was 404. So I check the user account and they've forked another repo minutes ago. I refresh, that one is gone and there's a new repo in its place.

just forking and deleting repos back to back. account created today.

Strange.

The rise of GitHub seems to me one of the strangest things in the world. I've heard it called "the front page of the FOSS movement"! But the code for GitHub is not available on GitHub! It was weird enough when a closed-source proprietary company put themselves in front of an open-source distributed VCS and got traction, but then they were acquired by Microsoft!? That's like Sauron buying the Shire and charging the hobbits rent on their own land or something.
