I may have made a thing. Said thing may not have been very well contained and it probably upset a few people.. I'm truly sorry for that. It won't happen again.. for now. Deciding next steps. This is all that I will say for now.

After writing about how the US is using AI in the Iran conflict it has come to my attention that Ukraine is using fully autonomous #AI systems their own conflict against Russia.

Ukraine's AI Drone Autonomy: From Human-Controlled to 'Fire and Forget' in the Russia War

In the grinding Ukraine-Russia conflict, drones with AI terminal guidance and last-mile autonomy are hitting 70-80% targets—pushing closer to true lethal autonomy than the US approach in Iran. Ethical red lines blur on the front lines.

The industrial military complex is using AI in warfare and it's absolutely terrifying! While US law may rule in favor of no-autonomous usage of AI in battle, other nation states may not follow suit. The rise of the machines is now becoming a very real possibility though be it in, very likely to be, a far different way than the Terminator franchise' spin on the story.. and of course all time-travel fantasies aside.

US hits 5,500+ targets in Iran war with AI-powered Maven/Claude for rapid targeting—but humans retain control. Ethical risks, and Anthropic blacklist drama.

Hey don't forget to check out my latest blog post where I talk about some of the new "online safety" bills being introduced in 2026. I know these are **framed** as being created to protect children, but I can almost guarantee that all they will do is break your encryption, destroy your privacy, and ruin anonymity online for journalists, activists, and whistleblowers while also potentially actually putting the data of children at increased risk of being stolen in data breach. I can also almost guarantee that criminals will use fake identifications and scape goats to continue harming whomever they please without any increased risk to them vs now.

Hey @jjx thanks for the follow! It looks like you are out there doing some really great work! What is the thing that you take the most pride in publishing or doing right at this moment?

Publishing so many posts today but not talking about the one thing that's truly been on my mind for the last 9 months bothered me, it just didn't feel right to not even give her so much as a mention.

I decided to break the silence and finally write about my #grief and how I'm trying to move forward with my #life after the #loss of my partner. So I'm just going to drop this here and go cry for a little while longer while I try to pull myself together again after facing my trauma head on while writing this one.

The Mask I Wear: Grief, Growth, and a Lasting Gift

The mask hides the days I still feel shattered, but beneath it lies growth born from her unwavering support and love. Nine months on, I share our story—the cards that still speak, the encouragement that fueled me, and my commitment to carry her forward. Rest in peace, mi amor.

I’ve recently made the decision to leave #OVH and migrate to a new #hosting provider. Rising #hosting costs and declining #customerservice over the years made the choice clear. More on my experience and reasoning here: https://www.xnite.me/projects/2026/03/13/my-decision-to-leave-ovh.html

Age Verification isn't a technical problem to solve. If you think that, you're missing the point.

It's a social problem used by authoritarian governments as an excuse for population control and censorship.

It's a fundamental attack on free speech and democracy.

It must not be accommodated.
It must be stopped.
