Not sure about the rest of you, but the details in this #whistleblower claim are exactly what we in tech thought/knew was going to happen.

Nothing that DOGE/Musk has done/is doing has been to any security-focused standard. I made an assumption that these events happened with every system DOGE touched.

The attack came from inside the house

Anyone else seeing a small battery issue with the latest #WatchOS update 11.4?

I had a massive battery issues a few releases back. This one, my watch (Series 6) only lasts 14 hours before it dies. With 11.3, I was able to get a day, and at the end of the day, hover around 30% left. My behavior has not changed, but a bit disappointed that #apple has had 2 poor performant updates recently.

I don’t buy the “indexing” BS argument, indexing doesn’t take this long.

I have not been active on #Facebook for many years. Today, I finally deleted my account.

A couple of years back, I used https://redact.dev to clean out my #Twitter, #Discord and #Facebook posts prior to full deletion. (They have a decent extensive list of services they connect with). Was not prefect, but did a decent job (in my opinion). Time saving was the main goal using it.

Great way to start my Friday.

Any #Whoop users out there?

Since the last hardware update to the device itself, I feel my “strain” targets are being hit a LOT easier than previous. Like nearly effortlessly. The device is also “recognizing activies” more so now than before. Anyone else noticing this?

Received an interesting email today from #pluralsight. Apparently “lifetime” is not defined by my lifetime, but rather whenever a company wants to terminate the lifetime of a plan.

Full disclosure, I don’t know the details of this new SaaS plan. I also cancelled my paid #ACloudGuru membership awhile back.

My experience has been, when a safety number changes (i.e. Reinstall by someone, a new phone…etc.) I am alerted and also have to re-verify the contact. I don’t see that in this chain.

Disclaimer: I don’t agree nor condone the information in this podcast. I am posting this for broader opinions and feedback on the misinformation around @signalapp at the 28:15 mark.

If memory servers, a new contact does not have “safety numbers” until you exchange messages and he never shows that he verified the individual initially. Can someone help dispel this myth going around about Signal tweaking something?

Attached is a screen shot:

Slight update. On #watchOS 11.2, the Bluetooth was NOT re-enabled upon reboot. A small victory.

(Before you judge, I sit at a desk for 80+% of my day. I don’t need notifications on my watch when my phone is right next to me. I will enable BT when I do some sort of activity)

This is my usual #Apple #ios update reminder that upon reboot of your device, your #bluetooth will be enabled. (Regardless of how you had it configured)

I mention this as you may have family members, other devices that you use that have zero need for Bluetooth. This is NOT a difficult toggle to enable on your own time when the need is warranted.

Hopefully, Apple will eventually honor your bt settings, but history indicates they don’t give any Fs.

Has anyone else had a disastrous time with #Apple #ScreenTime? I have 2 devices, phone and pad. Highly inconsistent, but I have “share across devices” set to off. Has been set this way since that feature was allowed.

And yet, I still see the usage of apps, from my #iphone, on my #iPad. Yet, my phone rarely sees apps used by my iPad.

I don’t set my life by this feature, but I do check it out from time to time. It never fails to disappoint.
