I’ve been collecting petrol price data for my local forecourt since 2022. I finally got around to charting it, and comparing it to Brent crude prices - so I could see how much the oil companies are fleecing us.
I was really disappointed with the resulting patterns and trend lines.
Turns out, they’re not. It only feels like it.

We’re only 3 of 10 reports in, but already the results are already what we knew at the time: years and years of tory underfunding had already brought the NHS to its knees and when COVID came calling it was the poorly paid staff who held everything together through superhuman effort.
