Hi #dotnet devs!

Have you ever used GitVersion for versioning your Nuget packages? what are your thoughts about it?

thanks all for replying to it to this thread, I'm asking this because of the false idea that not having extended support is already a problem, as well as that doing this upgrade process every year is a waste of time.

At the same time, with the same premises, then libraries are never upgraded within the same major release, meaning that are not effectively running the supported version...

it's an upset to see these situations time to time

Hi #dotnet devs!

I'm wondering if you have any restrictions within your organisation about using STS .NET versions, and if so, why?

Where should you put the anti-corruption/translation layer when migrating from a legacy system?

1. in the legacy
2. in new code
3. a dedicate translator service

A benefit of 1: fully encapsulate the legacy model and prevent it leaking

A benefit of 2: teams don't have to make PRs in multiple codebases for the same feature (when the ACL needs to change)

Hi .NET Barcelona folks!

Type Unions for C#, one of the most exciting features is being baked at Microsoft. It will arrive in a future, yet to be determined version of the language.

What do you think?

What's your opinion about hiring processes where algorithms resolution is the key part of them?
