Jus a few days ago I had my first ever Nashi pear.

Fantastic!

Besides eating as fruit there are so many things I want to try with them.

First, I put them in a salad (amazing) but I can’t wait to use them in other dishes.

Koi fish automata step 3 and 4

I covered the fish with a layer of cardboard pulp and wheat paste dough which became very hard when dried.

When dry I sanded it. It took 3hrs.

I planned to paint it but now I think I just wax it because I love that texture.

Koi carp automata step 2

Today I woke up earlier to lay the first layer of paper on the fish.

These are thin layers of newspaper glued with wheat paste.

Hopefully? It’ll be dry enough by tomorrow so I can start to refine the shape with some kind of dough (I’be not decided which dough yet).
