I just received a belated birthday present.

"Ólafur Arnalds, Talos - A Dawning" album is not the typical #olafurarnalds piano, yet very enjoyable. drones, orchestra, amazing vocal performances... I like the collaboration with Alexi Murdoch, and I really dig the album art and booklet as well.

Give is a spin, and dream of Icelandic blue skies

I had an amazing evening experiencing #emmaharner live in a small club, living room atmosphere.

Lovely voice and incredible guitar melodies with a bit of Blind Melon vibe.

In between songs she geeked out on guitar tunings, and played a couple of songs in EAC#F#BE ... "Standard tuning is only good for songs in Em" (Emma).

Oh, and I finally know how to count "Yes Man" (alternate 13/8 and 12/8).

New Parcels LP just arrived in the mail. Thanks to #bandcamp even a day before the official release.

Their "Live Vol. 1 from Hansa Studios Berlin" album recorded by @nannnnni is still one of my recent favorite Albums.

This year's #linuxaudio conference in Lyon was hot (literally 36+ degC). A personal highlight was Fons Adriensen's presentation on Tape Emulation. I learned how tape heads work in detail.

Many thanks to Romain Michon and team for organizing this event.

Recordings of the sessions are available at https://www.youtube.com/@gramecncm

It was fun to meet old friends and make some new ones. It was also exciting to have the scientific presentations in a hall named after a hero:

I really like his "Day" Album, which came out when @PaulDavisTheFirst visited, and we listened together.

..now playing..

Nils Frahm

https://silent-green.net is becoming my favorite place in Berlin.

I saw https://listentolambert.com perform there; modern classic mixed with Jazz. Though Lambert's right-hand was rather bluesy that night.

The rhythm section reminded me of GoGo Penguin, yet Lambert's piano is more melodic (I prefer Chris Illingworth rhythmic prepared piano).

The band was joined by outstanding cellist Marie-Claire Schlameus.

They're currently touring Europe, if you get the chance.

Without the label I'd not have recognized him.

i had the privilege to be invited to the opening of the https://www.synthesizermuseum.info/ with a stunning live performance of Thorsten Quaeschning (Tangerine Dream).

The Museum is in the place where schneidersladen.de used to be, and has a good collection of synths from a 1964 Buchla to a modern Seaboard,.. and you can play them all!

I'm just back from an amazing evening of music at #silentgreen organized by Olafur Arnalds hosting young artists: A mix of electronic and modern-classical music.

My personal favorite of the evening was Sofi Paez. If you like Hania Rani or Nils Frahm, definitely check her out!

If you're into modular synths, and beats backed by a Cello, Odalie is for you.
