Home is where it is and yet it’s not home. Wandering in the fish market where Baba and I used to go every evening decades ago. I didn’t know how precious that time was. Now I’m here by myself and overwhelmed with all the memories a walk through the market brings.

Again, I took over a friend’s kitchen to make her aloo tikkis, pickled onions and a tomato chutney. I think they liked it all.
I just listened to an interview of an amazing UK chef (Desi) where the interviewer asked her— how do you handle men-in-suits when ALL you do is cook? (Implying a female chef can’t math and I am so enraged I might do something not pretty)— like, why? Why ask this in 2022? 2022!
