and that's all folks! mellified.men is back up and feeling fresh and clean
round 2 complete. the third round of server updates begins now.
after verifying that worked, i am planning to update mastodon to 4.3.1 before considering mellified back up and ready for exciting new toots
briefly bringing this account back to life while mellified.men does its maintenance tasks
ATTN 🐝 mellified.men users:
some emergency maintenance is happening now after a failed upgrade to v4.3.1. sorry for the short notice. usually upgrades are so trivial as not to cause issues.
as mellified is back up, thus sunsets my visit to .social. see you next time i have to do an annoying manual sysadmin thing over there
running mastodon out of docker is easier, except when it isn't. still working on it
having some trouble with the db restore. doing some troubleshooting, so it will be a bit longer. sorry folks!
backup completed. moving forward with the rest of the upgrade process now
still pulling the database backup. may still be a while, the little VPS is chugging along.
after that we will need to import it into the updated database, and then perform the actual upgrade (which will be short and sweet). thanks for being patient
