Running a business is weird - sometimes you work for 10 hours and you have 4 hours billable, sometimes 12 and 10. Rarely the full day, because something always comes up. Luckily moving more towards fixed pricing, margins and recurring (product) revenue to even out things.

What’s the point of minifying your own profession? Work should be upheld to your standards.

When presented with a new project sometimes my reaction is that I can it fast now because of AI help. But maybe the answer is that it won’t be fast if you want to do it right. Don’t quote 2 days and blast that project through Claude. Take 10 days and actually think it through, design it well, code it with code you checked and verified.
