I made the worst airline seat choice of my life. Flew from Tetouan to Madrid and rather than seeing the coast of Morocco, Ceuta, Gibraltar, and the Strait, I saw… boat.

Space. Travel. Not yet space travel.
But once we got over land I did see Saturday pleasure boats off Benalmádena, and construction on a new Spanish high speed rail line.
I mentioned on Discord the difficulty of the bonjour/bonsoir line (in short, the time of day you switch is a closely guarded secret by locals). Someone tried googling that and it turns out that you don’t get a summary, instead the machine thinks you are talking to it in French, even though they are in Latvia and the bot knows that.
Really good crescent moon tonight. A bit north of west after sunset, until 10:30 or so depending on timezone.
This is a grapevine. it's crazy what you can do in warm climates.
In Iowa there are wild grapes, but it is basically a new vine every year.
In Germany there is a law that makes it trivial to get online reviews of your company removed by sending legal threats to the reviewers. As you would expect, this has been completely co-opted by "reputation management" kinds of companies who will polish your Google Maps review to 4.9 by getting most 1-3 star reviews deleted.
I was glad to see today that Google is finally responding to the falseness of the resulting score, at least a little bit.
In a better world they'd just ban the place.
Old test stands had such an incredible look to them. Everything was done by physically manipulating connections between wires, rather than flipping bits over an ethernet connection.
A UK test stand for Blue Streak, which was a derivative of the US Atlas rocket, with a huge ~110 pin connector to bridge wires correctly for TEST or FIRE.
