Currently on Wikipedia, only ~20% of biographies are about women, but there are major efforts underway across the world to improve this representation.
When information is added to Wikipedia, it goes on to be widely used across the internet, including in AI responses and summaries. Integrating content into Wikimedia platforms is a high-impact strategy to reach the global readership of Wikipedia, one of the top visited websites in the world.
