Season of mist and mellow fruitfulness,
Close-bosom friend of the maturing sun...
Was pulling a full 'to autumn' in Edinburgh this morning.
A few months ago, we spotted an unusual inn in a gorge between destinations. After a little reading around, we learned that an old railway used to run alongside it until the 1970's. It is now disused, used as a footpath.
Today, we went to investigate.
The walk takes you through two tunnels of around 500m long. Both of which have a turn to them, so you end up in complete darkness even in the bright Scottish sunshine!

I had an interesting thought the other day whilst cycling around the city.
In Edinburgh there's a fair bit of graffiti, most not worth discussing, but you see the word 'YES' everywhere. A lot of us know what that means, but I can imagine folks who moved to Scotland post-2014 look at this graffiti quizzically.
'YES', to what? To whom?
Of course, it made me think of writing - that there will be things in your world that makes sense to the characters, and not to the reader. ๐งต
Happy #caturday everyone! Here's a pic of our white moggy pulling a 'so, whatcha doing in this here establishment' pose. She just needs a cloth over one arm, and a glass in the other.
Here are a few more mags for fellow writers.

Morana ponders her next writing sprint. "Should the cats leave the safety of their cat bed in the next chapter? Is it egotistical to have a cat named Morana as the main character?"
She struggles to think of a name for the title, and then, sudden inspiration hits. "The Great Catsby."
