about to migrate accounts to treehouse.systems, see you on the other side
@derryh that's the idea. but it comes with serious tradeoffs...
@tauon @tootadmin on the contrary, the "openslopware" repository was created as a personal vendetta against one specific transfem, which you can see for yourself if you look at the initial commit
@nnnilabs my personal motivation is "maybe i'll finally have stable housing" which I understand is not for everyone...
@wolf480pl i think that was more of a "$150" range... long time ago though
@hennichodernich @q3k at the time when i made the device it was somewhat immature but definitely usable for simple projects; I do not know the real extent to which it has progressed since

@skrzyp hmhm

so amaranth docs are written for and built with sphinx, with interlinks to API docs and such; that's why it has to be in ReST

consider how many of the existing e.g. stdlib modules have large guide-style docs https://amaranth-lang.org/docs/amaranth/latest/stdlib/data.html

Data structures — Amaranth language & toolchain 0.6.0.dev113 documentation

@simon yes

i've tried writing a tutorial "in abstract" and this is just monstrously hard

@skrzyp for better or worse, the tutorial needs to plug into existing documentation so it will be done in (sigh) ReST
@skrzyp I mean that's essentially the plan, I have "write an Amaranth tutorial" scheduled for 2026H1 and this is just one way of doing it
