Yeah. The Internet would be just fine.

It's interesting to me that many people can't conceive of a web that is larger than maybe a few dozen websites. At least way back when we understood that AOL was a bad thing.

Reading between the lines, captains of industry have to be furious with this. They badly need their recession narrative to work out so they can tie it around the necks of remote work and rising wages. Instead, they won't get it until at least next June if they even get it at all.

It will also be interesting to see who Powell is really working for here if inflation is effectively curbed and interest rates continue to rise.

Hypothetically, maybe the silver lining to Elon losing his mind is that Republicans are now interested in electric cars and have regular exposure to round-Earth theory.
I'm not completely fluent in all things Mastodon, but over time we should anticipate/expect numerous competing server and UI implementations, right? It seems to me that one of the benefits of a federated approach is the opportunity for each instance to do things differently.
