Baptist preacher, CH Spurgeon on the doctrine of limited atonement (perhaps better described as Particular Redemption).
Spurgeon makes a very good observation here. According to the (basically) Arminian alternative, the crosswork of Christ is powerless until man's will is added to it. This theological absurdity detracts greatly from the matter.
