Bad Boys 4 is a rare sequel that not only holds against its predecessors, but pushes the series forward.
Critics need to get off their high horse. Being messy, excessive, more emotional and vulnerable and stylistically fresh while being familiar enough to honor the originals is exactly what it needs, and it executes on it very well.
