36 year old GIS Analyst. I compete in powerlifting, and I'm very interested in ham radio. I love metal, folk, and jazz music. I have a cat and a dog and live in colorado (I'm a texas refugee). I’m converting to Judaism.

I'm a Gentoo Linux zealot.

If I had to choose one chained deadlift variation, it would be chained with a pause off the floor. My favorite.

I got a triple PR at 360 lbs / 163kg on the bar with a 56 lbs / 25 kg chain. That’s 80% of my comp deadlift max at the bottom and 93% at the top.

Chained pulls always calls for Slayer 🤘

I love this cat so much

Anyone have any earthly clue what could cause this noise pattern? It’s a new one at my QTH.

It just sounds like pops.

(Excuse my wife scolding the cat)

Moving up!

I pulled 97% of my last meet PR like it was 86% this morning according to the velocity tracker. I felt like I could have possibly gotten 4 more.

My next meet is going to be so fun.

412.5 lbs / 187 kg

This is 15 meters when my air conditioner kicks on.

Celebrated accepting a new role yesterday with some [too many] beers and it just so happened I was given sets of 7 on deadlift this morning :(

Something about pushing through volume sets really clears the cobwebs out, though, and now I feel ready to tackle the day!

367.5 lbs / 169 kg for an RPE 7 set of 7

I love breaking out the chains.

335 lbs/ 152 kg with 56 lbs / 25 kg chains

Felt like medium effort!

Super proud of myself! I made 96% move like 87% this morning, according to the velocity tracker. This next meet is going to be amazing!

410 lbs / 186 kg

Every time we mention the word frisbee, Nova loses her mind. I love this #Dog so much.

If you want a fun #deadlift variation that gives your lower back a break while allowing you to work hard on the top part of the pull, look no further than chained block pulls!

I worked up to heavy singles at 412.5 lbs (187 kg) with 55 lbs (25 kg) of chains.
